Top performing institutional investment house has an Analyst opportunity available for an up and coming numerically orientated investment professional to join their investment team and take responsibility for investment performance, risk and compliance reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, calculate, analyse, and deliver client performance reports.
- Review, design and automate performance and compliance reporting models and processes.
- Preparation of Regulation 28 and Annexure B compliance reports.
- Prepare and distribute investment market information to clients and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and organise risk and return, economic and organisational data for client reports and presentations for the investment team.
- Collaborate in the development, specification and testing of new analytical software.
- General quantitative support to a team of investment professionals.
Requirements:
- Degree focussing on Investments, Stats, Economics or Mathematics.
- CFA Charter or studying towards, strongly preferred.
- 2 to 5 years’ investment analysis experience with specific experience with the formulas, calculations, and mathematics of Performance and Risk measurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a variety of projects and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Passion for investments, financial markets and economic current events.
